On Call Job Coach
Accountability:
The On-Call Job Coach is responsible for providing on the job training and support at the participant’s place of employment in the community or at a Goodwill retail store.
Job responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Guiding and Empowering
- Offer personalized job coaching and support based on the participant’s employment plan, with the goal of gradually reducing support as they become more independent.
Case Management
- Evaluate and assess participants while on their job site.
- Monitor and document participant’s progress on tasks.
- Provide customized instruction and training to the participant based on employer needs.
- Communicate effectively with employer to monitor participant’s progress and address any concerns.
- Ability to assist with staffing meetings for the participants.
- Ensure participant confidentiality.
Operational Excellence
- Communicate effectively about participant’s progress and status with Job Coach and District Lead.
- Attend required Goodwill trainings.

Environment
The work is conducted in the retail store environment and at various community sites, which may vary in temperature, noise levels, and dust. The Job Coach may work in the warehouse, on the sales floor, or at partner sites as needed. This role may require standing and walking for extended periods, frequent bending and lifting, and the ability to adapt to changing work locations and conditions. Hours are primarily on an on-call basis and may include nights, weekends, and holidays depending on organizational needs.
Sensory and Physical Requirements:
Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all functions of the job. Ability to stand for 4 -6 hours per shift. Lifting up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, twist and have a full range of motion to prepare work stations and physically support the coaching process. Ability to clearly communicate the details and goals of the program.
