About the Role

• We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with extensive Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience to design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native backend applications.
• In this role, you will be responsible for modernizing microservices, building robust REST APIs, and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines across GCP infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design and build high-throughput, low-latency Java/Spring Boot microservices optimized for cloud execution.
• GCP Infrastructure & Architecture: Deploy and manage services using GCP compute engines (GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, or Cloud Functions).
• Database Management: Implement and query managed data solutions on GCP, such as Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, and Bigtable.
• API & Event Integration: Develop RESTful web services and implement event-driven architectures using GCP Pub/Sub.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Automate build and deployment pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions along with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Security & Observability: Implement authentication/authorization via GCP IAM and manage application health using Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring.

Technical Skills

• Core Languages & Frameworks: Java (11/17+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA.
• Google Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with GKE (Kubernetes), Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, IAM, and Cloud Storage.
• Databases: Relational (Cloud SQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Cloud Datastore/Firestore or Bigtable).
• DevOps & Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.
• Testing & Tools: JUnit, Mockito, Maven/Gradle, and Git.

Experience

• 03 - 05+ years of professional experience in Java application development.
• 02+ years of hands-on experience building, deploying, and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of microservice design patterns, cloud security, and RESTful API architecture.

Preferred Certifications

• GCP Professional Cloud Developer or GCP Professional Cloud Architect (highly preferred). xxzpjkt
