Role Summary
The Onsite Building Engineer is responsible for building systems and their maintenance, operation, and repair. They ensure facilities operate safely, efficiently, and compliantly.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement the work of the maintenance department
- Manage procurement and inventory of all maintenance and pool supplies, including parts and chemicals, coordinating purchases with the Community Director as needed
- Oversee all room set-ups
- Report maintenance activities, recommendations, and updates regularly to the Community Director, including weekly summaries and suggested improvements
- Ensure Clubhouse areas comply with cleanliness, safety, and regulatory standards, including OSHA, Fire, and Health Department requirements
- Train, supervise, and coordinate daily activities of maintenance staff, including providing coverage as needed
- Oversee and perform preventive and corrective maintenance for all clubhouse equipment and facilities, including fire protection systems, mechanical tasks, and coordination with vendors and service providers
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance costs and materials, and develop and manage the annual maintenance budget
- Remain available on an "on-call" basis for emergency situations
- Attend Board Executive and HOA Board meetings to provide updates on maintenance projects and related issues
