OpenShift Platform Engineer (Red Hat OpenShift/ AWS/ Kubernetes)

Salary: $5,500 – $7,300 per month

Responsibilities:

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) clusters to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability

• Provision and manage OpenShift resources, including Projects, Namespaces, RBAC, Routes, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Persistent Volumes

• Perform cluster installation, upgrades, patching, certificate renewals, and routine platform maintenance activities

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using CI/CD and GitOps tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize

• Provision and manage OpenShift resources, including Projects, Namespaces, RBAC, Routes, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Persistent Volumes.

• Perform cluster installation, upgrades, patching, certificate renewals, and routine platform maintenance activities

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using CI/CD and GitOps tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize

• Support application onboarding, migrations, and production deployments in collaboration with development, infrastructure, and security teams

• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), change implementation, disaster recovery, and capacity planning

• Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) 4.x administration, including cluster maintenance, upgrades, patching and troubleshooting

• knowledge of Kubernetes, container technologies and Linux/RHEL administration

• Experience managing OpenShift resources

• Experience with AWS/ROSA and cloud-based OpenShift environments is preferred

• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitOps tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, Helm, Kustomize, Git, Prometheus or Grafana is an advantage
