DISC Surgery Center is seeking a per diem Operating Room RN for our West Palm Beach location. This location specializes in spinal, orthopedic and pain management procedures.
In this position, you will:

Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to gather patient history, identify potential risks, and ensure proper preparation for surgery.

Serve as the patient advocate throughout the surgical experience, ensuring effective communication and addressing patient concerns.

Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for each procedure, ensuring proper equipment, supplies, and instrumentation are available.

Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field and providing continuous patient monitoring.

Administer medications and assist the anesthesia team as needed.

Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team to facilitate a smooth and efficient operation.

Accurately document all aspects of the surgical process, including patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Adhere to strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment.

Monitor patients during the immediate postoperative period, providing post-anesthesia care and managing any complications that may arise.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists, to ensure seamless patient care.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient outcomes and safety protocols.
