Operation Manager - Well testing
Job Overview
Lead Testing operations by ensuring safe, efficient, profitable, and high-quality service delivery while developing people, customers, technology, and operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Align operational activities with strategic service goals and business objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with leadership, highlighting opportunities, risks, and operational challenges.
- Support execution of operational improvement initiatives and long-term growth plans.
- Review financial performance against forecast and budget and implement corrective actions when required.
- Analyze trends, variances, costs, revenue, and gross margin performance.
- Recommend workforce and organizational structure adjustments based on activity levels and business requirements.
- Approve operational expenditures and monitor budget compliance.
- Review contracts to maximize revenue and minimize commercial leakage.
- Drive upselling opportunities and margin improvement initiatives.
- Oversee delivery ticket creation and support timely invoice and cash collection.
- Monitor forecasting accuracy, DSO, DTI, disputed invoices, revenue accruals, and forecast performance.
- Lead operational execution, resource planning, personnel utilization, and asset utilization.
- Manage inventory levels, storage, preservation, maintenance, and deployment of assets.
- Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Collaborate with global teams to improve demand forecasting and resource planning.
- Monitor R&M cycle time, inventory turns, overtime, asset utilization, and DSI performance.
- Lead operational readiness and deployment of new testing technologies.
- Support field trials, technology qualification programs, and launch plans.
- Optimize resource allocation for new technology implementation.
- Drive revenue growth through adoption of new technologies and services.
- Act as the primary operational interface with customers.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer management.
- Work closely with Sales and Technical Sales teams on market growth opportunities.
- Review tenders, bids, and commercial proposals from an operational perspective.
- Promote collaboration between Sales, Service Quality, and Operations.
- Drive customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and local legal requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, JHAs, RCAs, safety meetings, and risk mitigation activities.
- Promote Stop Work Authority and injury prevention campaigns.
- Monitor operational reports, equipment performance, and service execution metrics.
- Respond quickly to operational disruptions and equipment failures.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs, quality plans, and end-of-well reporting requirements.
- Manage Management of Change (MOC) processes and corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor operational KPIs including NPT, IFD, LTIR, PVIR, TRIR, HSE engagement, and compliance performance.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching, guidance, and feedback.
- Ensure personnel training, competency, and qualification requirements are achieved.
- Assign responsibilities and oversee daily operational activities.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans.
- Support succession planning, mentoring, and career progression initiatives.
- Develop training and competency plans for new and developing employees.
- Monitor mandatory training completion, competency compliance, and localization programs.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and organizational capability development.

Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or any related field.
- 10 to 15 years of relevant Oil & Gas operations experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Testing, Well Testing, Production Testing, Flowback, Surface Well Testing, or related intervention services.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role with direct responsibility for personnel, operational execution, and financial performance.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and field operations.
