Job Description
Elevate your events career with the Ventures team at The Australian Financial Review, the driving force behind iconic events, prestigious lists, awards, and premium content solutions including The AFR Business Summit, Business Person of the Year, Women in Leadership, and various high-profile live events.
Reporting to the Head of Production, you will play a key role in the operational and logistical architecture for complex event frameworks, managing vendor partnerships, venue specifications, and budgets to deliver seamless execution. This fast-paced, results-oriented role is perfect for a collaborative professional with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and impactful event execution.
Day to day you will:
Translate high-level organisational goals into clear operational and logistical event frameworks.
Source, brief, and manage third-party vendors to guarantee quality control and contract compliance.
Partner with the Head of Production to review venue contracts and ensure site and technical specifications are met.
Manage event operational budgets to maintain financial accountability.
Coordinate end-to-end travel, flight itineraries, and accommodation for internal teams and VIP stakeholders.
Collaborate with marketing to deploy creative assets and enforce strict brand governance across all event collateral.
Direct technical delivery alongside AV teams, managing equipment, lighting, and digital platform requirements.
Serve as lead onsite manager to oversee catering, direct run-of-show execution, and manage real-time risk mitigation.
What you'll bring:
Prior experience in end-to-end event operations, vendor management, and on-site delivery for major events.
Demonstrated ability to manage operational budgets, maintain financial tracking, and align venue specifications.
Practical technical comprehension of AV systems, digital event platforms, and production workflows.
Outstanding stakeholder management skills combined with a calm, solution-oriented mindset under pressure.
Prior experience coordinating complex travel logistics and collaborating across teams on brand asset deployment.
