About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing consumer goods brand with distribution across DTC, wholesale, Amazon, and US retail. US production, inventory, fulfilment, and logistics run through an outsourced 3PL and co-manufacturing partner, with an Australia-based team and a US Operations Director overseeing the overall plan.
About the Role
We're looking for an Operations Manager to own the day-to-day delivery of US production, inventory, fulfilment, and logistics through the 3PL and co-manufacturing partners. You'll set daily priorities, hold partners accountable to their commitments, resolve operational issues end to end, and give the Operations Director accurate reporting and practical recommendations.
This is a hands-on ownership role. You are not coordinating from a distance: you're the main day-to-day point of accountability for the 3PL and co-manufacturer relationships, multi-channel fulfilment, inventory accuracy, and financial controls.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day relationship with the 3PL and co-manufacturer, aligning priorities, confirming commitments and deadlines, and holding partners accountable for delivery
- Report on dispatches, aged orders, production, stock, and risks, including sales run rates against forecasts with variances flagged
- Investigate missed commitments with evidence, drive recovery actions, and escalate capacity gaps and stockout risks before commitments are missed
- Turn the approved production plan into agreed daily and weekly schedules, tracking actual units by SKU and component availability
- Keep production jobs, purchase orders, receipts, and records accurate in Cin7, and document and resolve quality complaints with corrective actions
- Manage DTC, wholesale, Faire, Amazon, and retail fulfilment, keeping PO versions, routing, BOL, ASN, and EDI records current
- Resolve overdue, partial, replacement, and unscanned orders, and track domestic freight through to customer delivery
- Coordinate stock counts and month-end reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies across Cin7, the 3PL's warehouse system, Shopify, Faire, and Amazon
- Check 3PL, co-manufacturing, and freight charges against approved rates, document errors and losses, and give Finance accurate shipment costs and invoice follow-up
- Improve recurring workflows to reduce manual effort and errors, document procedures, and verify AI-assisted outputs
- Analyse fulfilment and freight costs by channel and check packaging and shipping assumptions for new products and bundles
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in fulfilment, logistics, inventory, or production, including experience managing US operations with US-based 3PLs, co-manufacturers, domestic carriers, and US retail and Amazon requirements
- At least 2 to 3 years at manager level as the main day-to-day owner of an outsourced 3PL relationship, covering priorities, SLAs, stock accuracy, invoice checks, and partner accountability
- At least 2 to 3 years at manager level as the main day-to-day owner of a co-manufacturer relationship, covering production scheduling, packaging, quality checks, and corrective actions
- Evidence of independent ownership, such as a partner transition or turnaround you led, KPIs you were accountable for, disputes and credits you recovered, or escalations you brought with a recommendation
- Confident with Cin7 or a comparable inventory system, Shopify, and 3PL warehouse management systems
- Multi-channel fulfilment experience across DTC, wholesale, Amazon, and US retail, including routing guides, BOL, ASN, and EDI
- Strong reconciliation and reporting skills with excellent Excel or Google Sheets
- Clear, confident written and spoken English
Nice to Have
- Experience in consumer products manufactured, warehoused, and shipped across multiple channels
- Background in organic, health, or beauty consumer goods
- Experience with month-end operations reviews and presenting KPI results and recommendations to senior leadership
Work Schedule
- 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
- This position operates on a full-time basis, with dedicated hours to ensure alignment with the team and delivery of quality work
- Availability during US Eastern Time business hours, plus regular calls with an Australia-based team during US late afternoon and evening

- Paid Time Off according to company policy
