Who We’re Looking For
PIRTEK is hiring for an Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate a team of Hose Installation Technicians, ensure customers receive exceptional service, and manage inventory levels to consistently meet customer needs. We are looking for a highly driven and self-sufficient individual with excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Our most successful Operations Managers are:

Hydraulic and industrial hose experience is NOT required, but would be a great advantage. Each Operations Manager is provided with training opportunities, at the franchise owner’s discretion, on industry knowledge, PIRTEK front and back-end processes, safety standards, and the associated operational software. PIRTEK USA also provides a 24/7 hotline, giving technicians expert support when troubleshooting unusual situations or abnormalities in the field.
Job Description
Responsibilities
•Adhere to all industry and PIRTEK safety standards
•Provide strong leadership and accountability for a team of Hose Installation Technicians
•Field incoming phone calls to dispatch team members to service locations
•Ensure customers receive the highest quality of service by training a competent team, providing ongoing learning events, and ensuring Hose Installation Technicians have the tools and inventory needed for successful service
•Maintain materials and inventory by managing quantities, forecasting needs, and placing Purchase Orders, as needed
•Ensure company equipment and vehicles are well-maintained
•Assemble and install hydraulic hoses for customers at the brick-and-mortar shop or on-site, as needed
•Perform other related duties as assigned
Work Environment
You will primarily work at the PIRTEK brick-and-mortar location, in both the office and warehouse areas, and will provide in-field support, as needed.
•Computer/desk work 50% of the time, on average; hose assembly and warehouse work 50%, on average
•You will be exposed to moderately loud equipment/machinery in the warehouse area
•Oil, grease, lubricant, and other “messy” substances are frequently used in this industry, which you will come in contact with
•You may be required to travel for training initiatives, at no cost to you
Skills & Abilities Needed
•Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
•Ability to be self-driven while managing multiple priorities and requirements
•Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
•Motivating leadership style that drives team success
•Critical thinking and ability to make quick decisions
•Moderate to advanced computer/technology acumen (operational software; inventory management)
•Mechanically inclined/ability to work with hand tools and larger equipment
Qualifications
•High School diploma or GED
•Experience in a supervisory role (2+ years)
•Experience in an industrial/mechanical/construction or related field a plus
•Ability to pass a background check
