Operations Manager

Are you a leader with 5-7 years of experience in facilities operations management, hospitality/tourism management, event management, or public spaces administration? Block by Block is seeking an Operations manager to oversee our Safety Ambassador program. This role requires advanced client relationship management skills to manage daily district program operations and deliver continual program improvements. We're looking for someone with strong managerial skills, a great work ethic, experience supervising a team of employees, and a passion for creating a great experience.

Shift: 10:00am to 6:30pm (includes weekends) and work 2 nights per month.

Salary: 80,000.00

Experience – Required

• 3-5+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Scheduling, staffing and workforce management.
• Conducting investigations and resolving employee or customer complaints.
• Incident reporting, documentation and follow – up.
• Client-customer relationship management.
• Performance management, coaching and disciplinary processes.
• Operational planning.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and conflict – resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Professional report writing and computer proficient.
• High level of accountability and attention to detail.
• Ability to provide positive relationships with employees, clients, and community stakeholders.

Experience – Preferred

• Security, public safety, law enforcement hospitality, property management, or event operations.
• Experience managing multiple sites or facilities.
• Safety compliance and risk management programs.
• Emergency response and crisis management.
• Recruiting, hiring and employee onboarding.
• Work with local government, law enforcement, community organizations or private clients.
