Operations Supervisor, Processing

A Processing Ops Supervisor oversees daily operational activities, manages teams, ensures process compliance, and drives efficiency and quality in production or service delivery. Please note, this is a 4/10's weekend shift - Thursday through Sunday.

Core Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising and coordinating the workflow within a specific operational area, such as Lube, DeOil, DryBlast, Parts Wash, Chemical, Cytal, Heat Treat plus other areas operating on weekend. Key duties include:

  • Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff to ensure productivity and adequate staffing levels
  • Planning and allocating tasks and resources to meet production goals
  • Monitoring operational processes to ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring products or services meet established quality standards and customer expectations, implementing corrective actions when necessary
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing reports on output, attendance, and incidents, and using data to make informed decisions
  • Address employee issues and take appropriate corrective action where needed
  • Identifying bottlenecks, operational issues, or inefficiencies and implementing solutions to improve processes and reduce waste or risk
  • Acting as a liaison between management and frontline staff, conducting briefings, and ensuring smooth information flow regarding priorities, safety, and operational changes
  • Flex employees across different areas to ensure proper HC is allocated in bottle neck areas and ensure proper level of overtime are assigned to meet department goals
  • Attend Gemba walks with management team to escalate concern

Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing at least 20+ employees in a manufacturing setting including performance management responsibility
  • Organizational and planning skills to coordinate resources and workflows under dynamic conditions
  • Technical knowledge relevant to the specific operational area, such as production processes, equipment, or service protocols
  • Compliance awareness to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Salary Range:

The base pay range for this position in California, $100,000 - $130,000/year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
