Operations Team Lead

Bastian Automation, a division of Toyota Automated Logistics, is seeking a Operations Team Lead to join our Autonomous Vehicle Division in Georgetown, KY.

Job Overview

This position will be responsible for directing a team of Autonomous Vehicles project managers/engineers assigned to them. They will report to the Operations Manager and provide weekly updates on projects and tasks assigned to their team. They will provide technical and administrative support to each member of their team to ensure the team projects are executed in a professional and timely manner. They will backfill for team members who may be off work for various reasons and lead projects during peak demand.

Job Functions

• Attend weekly manpower meetings and allocate their resources as efficiently as possible
• Set the example as a working member of the team
• Approve expense reports and vacation requests for all members in the team
• Manage team member schedules in collaboration with the Scheduling Coordinator
• Maintain a working awareness of the status of all projects assigned to their team (potential backfill)

Travel Requirements:

• 50% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Bastian Automation)
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a passport

Required Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or equivalent work experience
• 3 to 5 years' experience in project management
• 1 to 2 years' autonomous vehicle (AGV) integration experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Projects
• Excellent communication and motivated by teamwork.
• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
