About the Role
We are seeking an Oracle Developer with strong Oracle and PL/SQL development experience to join an established IT team.
You will work across critical billing and metering systems, designing, developing, maintaining and supporting Oracle database solutions while the broader organisation progresses through a major Billing Transformation Program.
The role will contribute to regulatory initiatives, platform enhancements and business-driven projects, including technical design, development, testing, deployments, troubleshooting and root cause analysis. You will work closely with developers, technical analysts, business analysts and delivery teams within a structured development environment.
About You
You will be an experienced Oracle/PLSQL professional comfortable working within complex, business-critical enterprise environments. You will bring:
- Strong Oracle database development experience.
- Extensive hands-on PL/SQL development experience.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing large existing PL/SQL codebases.
- Experience with Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ).
- Strong database schema design and maintenance capability.
- SQL performance analysis and tuning experience is highly regarded.
- Exposure to UNIX/Linux scripting, including Bash, Korn Shell or Perl.
- Experience with technical design, testing, deployments and release processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience with billing, metering or electricity market systems is highly regarded.
- Previous energy or utilities industry experience will be advantageous.
