How you'll play your part
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by safeguarding customer outcomes through robust first-line oversight, constructive challenge and effective intervention across an allocated portfolio of retailers, partners or business areas. We're looking for someone who demonstrates strong judgement, personal accountability and the confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders professionally, with experience or knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, governance and customer outcome oversight within a regulated environment.
Working within a relationship-driven and fast-paced environment, you'll lead evidence-based oversight conversations, identify emerging risks, drive timely remediation activity and ensure appropriate escalation where foreseeable customer harm may arise. You'll work closely with field, sales, governance and control teams to maintain high conduct standards, support Consumer Duty requirements and ensure governance outputs are accurate, complete and regulator-ready.
This is a highly accountable First Line of Defence role, offering direct influence over customer outcomes, business standards and remediation activity while supporting compliance with FCA Individual Conduct Rules and the effective operation of the wider oversight framework.
In this role you'll help to\:
· Lead field oversight reviews, driving strong standards, accountability and customer outcomes.
· Build strong relationships with District Sales Managers, providing oversight, challenge and support.
· Deliver constructive challenge to strengthen controls, conduct and operational performance.
· Drive effective remediation, ensuring actions are delivered on time and to the required standard.
· Maintain oversight of conduct, controls and review quality across your allocated portfolio.
· Identify emerging risks, recurring issues and potential customer harm before they escalate.
What you'll bring
The requirements for this role are highlighted below. If your experience looks a little different and you believe you have transferable skills that would help you succeed in this role, we'd love to hear from you.
· Strong understanding of Consumer Duty, customer outcomes and customer harm risk.
· Experience in oversight, conduct risk, relationship management or first-line control environments.
· Confident influencing and challenging senior stakeholders to drive accountability and action.
· Strong judgement, with the ability to identify risks and determine when escalation is required.
· Excellent communication skills, able to articulate challenge, decisions and actions clearly.
· Skilled at managing multiple stakeholders, priorities and interventions with consistency and control.
· Resilient, proactive and confident in challenging where standards or outcomes fall short.
At Mercedes-Benz you are required to maintain ethical standards in accordance with our policies. You must also adhere to the company's compliance guidelines and policies including anti-bribery and all relevant competition law.
