Painting and Insulation Supervisor

General Characteristics (Job Summary)

• Supervise, manage and support subcontractor to proceed with construction effectively in accordance with project specification under safe condition.
• Supervise the paint functions by planning, scheduling, assigning and monitoring the work of assigned staff at paint shop.
• Controls work relationship with subcontractor and/or direct workers crews.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare construction schedule as per project MC.
• Ensure all painting activities according to international and local HSE regulations.
• Control work relationship with subcontractor and/or direct workers crews.
• Coordinate timely flow of engineering documents, certificates, test reports and inspection reports between concerned departments and companies.
• Provide technical supports to company and contractors QC personnel as required.
• Liaison with others Department Heads, Customers, and the Third Parties on the Coating & Insulation matters.
• Prepare punch list items, ensuring they are being resolved according to the turn over system.
• Review and assess Contractor/Subcontractor QA/QC Plans and Procedures including Test/Inspection results.
• Promote safety awareness and safe performance among Production group, including Contractor personnel.
• Witness and monitor Contractor/Subcontractor site surveillance QA/QC activities.
• Oversee the Development of the Blasting, Painting and Insulation Systems Integrating Quality, Occupational Health/Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Assess the integrity of coatings, insulation, etc. and reports atmospheric corrosion effects on coatings and other corrosion damages to coatings applied to internals of vessels.
• Conduct corrosion assessment and reporting to the asset integrity team leader.
• Supervise hot, cold (CRYOGENIC) and acoustic insulation for pipes, reactors, boiler, hot oil heater and other related equipment.
• Supervise painting/coating and fireproofing application on pipe and structure.
• Conduct daily walk around and at Site if any major findings not in accordance with Project Specifications and Standards.
• Supervise and ensure safe condition at construction site in cooperation with safety department.
• Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specification and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) ITPs, QCPs, MS etc.
• Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials in advance of construction implementation.
• Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work done quantities.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction report.
• Prepare construction M/S (Method Statement) based on specification and requirements.
• Record B/P (Best Practice) and L/L (Lessons Learned).
• Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.
• Assure quality of work during work execution and attend progress coordination meeting.
• To develop training plans with employees to ensure employees have the necessary to carry out their jobs.
• Perform other task as instructed by the Construction Manager within the competency and scope of work.

Experience

• Construction experience in an oil/gas/petrochemical or power plants as supervisor.
• Engineering & Construction Company working experience in Middle East is preferred.

Knowledge

• Comprehensive knowledge on construction management and engineering standards.
• Computer application ability (MS Office)
• Knowledge of FMCS & TPMS operate
• Interpretation of engineering and construction drawings (P&ID, ISO, GAD, insulation typical).
