Paralegal – Assessment Recovery

Kaman & Cusimano, a law firm focused on representing condominium and homeowners associations, is seeking a Paralegal for our Indianapolis office. The Paralegal will manage assigned matters, communicate directly with clients and third parties, prepare and file legal documents, and provide substantive support to attorneys. Prior legal experience or education is preferred. Position Description:

• Handle assessment recovery based matters, including foreclosure, small claims, money judgment collections, and bankruptcy
• Communication with clients and third parties, including courts, other attorneys, vendors, and government agencies
• Handle and manage a dedicated case load
• Draft, proofread, format, revise, and finalize attorney-client privileged correspondence
• Timely and effectively manage calendar and billing
• Assist attorneys in all stages of legal work, including drafting documents, preparing exhibits, and organizing matter files.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions.
• Organize and maintain electronic files, ensuring all data is properly labeled and stored.
• Prepare and file documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
