Part-Time Breakfast Area Attendant at Hampton Inn & Suites (36386)

The Breakfast Area Attendant is responsible for ensuring the breakfast area and kitchen are clean, welcoming, and well-stocked with food and supplies. This role supports an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, food presentation, and hospitality throughout breakfast service. The attendant will assist the kitchen team with dishwashing, preparing and cooking breakfast dishes, setting and clearing tables and buffet areas, and utility tasks as needed to ensure smooth, timely service.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Clean and maintain the breakfast area, buffet, and back-of-house support areas used during breakfast service.
  • Set up, replenish, and organize breakfast items in all areas to ensure a neat, fully stocked, and attractive presentation throughout service hours.
  • Ensure breakfast supplies, food, and condiments are stocked, rotated, and replaced as needed; assist with organizing and storing breakfast supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with inventory as needed.
  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect tables, chairs, countertops, and food service equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Support kitchen operations as needed, including basic food preparation and cooking to keep the buffet fully stocked and properly presented.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by clearing spills promptly and keeping floors, walls, cook surfaces, equipment, and oven vents clean.
  • Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash from the breakfast and kitchen areas.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests; help resolve issues or complaints related to breakfast service.
  • Collaborate with team members to support department goals and ensure a seamless breakfast service.
  • Uphold Hotel standards and procedures, including maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and supporting guest flow during breakfast hours.
  • Adhere to all safety, security, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
  • Report maintenance issues or damages in the breakfast area to the appropriate department for timely resolution.
  • Follow environmentally friendly practices and procedures to support sustainability efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned and necessary.

  • Attend hotel and department meetings and other functions as required by management.
  • Communicate pertinent information to the Food and Beverage Supervisor and/or Assistant General Manager.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming; arrive on time in a clean/pressed uniform, non-slip shoes, and wear a name tag while working.
  • Be attentive, courteous, and efficient when dealing with guests and co-workers.
  • Comply with all compliance standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations (including applicable meal and rest break periods).
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and teamwork with fellow employees and other departments.
  • Be familiar with hotel policies, rules, and terminology.
  • Work independently as needed and manage time effectively to complete required work.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
