If you are passionate about providing responsive, nurturing care to our youngest learners and want a great part-time schedule, this is the perfect role for you! You’ll join our team to support infant classrooms, creating safe, healthy, and engaging environments where infants (ages 6 weeks to 13 months) can thrive.

What You Will Do (And Love!)

• Nurture Our Youngest Learners: Assist Lead Teachers in the infant room with children ages 6 weeks to 13 months, providing high-quality supplemental support and responsive caregiving.

• Engage & Inspire: Lead and participate in classroom activities consistent with WNCSource Head Start philosophy and goals.

• Build Strong Relationships: Foster positive, trusting, and supportive connections with children, parents, and families.

• Ensure Safety & Well-being: Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment inside the classroom and out on the playground.

Education & Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum Credentials/Coursework: NC Early Childhood Credential, or actively working toward an NC Early Childhood Certificate, Infant/Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate), or equivalent coursework (or commitment to work toward an Associate's/CDA/Certificate).

• Preferred Education: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or a related field.
