About This Opportunity

Join the UQ Poche Centre for Indigenous Health in a purposeful leadership role that brings people, partnerships and evidence together to create meaningful change. As Partnerships and Impact Manager, you will lead the coordination and strengthening of the Centre’s strategic partnerships while developing practical systems to measure, understand and communicate impact. Working collaboratively across the Centre including the operations team, leadership group, academic and professional staff, you will create greater visibility, continuity and alignment across existing relationships, cultivate new connections and embed ethical, values-aligned impact measurement into the Centre’s ways of working.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement a structured, sustainable approach to partnership coordination, consolidating the Centre’s existing partnership base and identifying strengths, gaps, risks and opportunities.

  • Build and strengthen reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations and system partners, while supporting equitable engagement with non-urban and underrepresented communities.

  • Lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of the Centre’s Impact Indicators Register, including baseline measures and systems for collecting, analysing and reporting qualitative and quantitative evidence.

  • Work closely with the Centre Manager, leadership team and staff to embed partnership practice and impact measurement into organisational planning, projects, decision-making and continuous improvement.

About You

The University of Queensland considers that to perform this role, it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld). The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence to confirm that they are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.

  • Experience working with, or alongside, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations or initiatives.

  • Experience building and maintaining productive relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community, government, health, research or not-for-profit partners.

  • Ability to develop practical systems, processes or frameworks that improve coordination, knowledge sharing, reporting or quality improvement.

  • Experience using data, evidence or evaluation approaches to inform decision-making, monitor outcomes or demonstrate impact.

  • A proactive and relationship-focused approach, with the initiative to identify opportunities and drive outcomes.
