Parts Clerk

The Parts Clerk will assist the shop location in keeping the equipment running safely and effectively to meet service operation goals. The Parts Clerk is responsible for the organization and accuracy of inventory within the parts room.

Job Duties

• Receives, stores and issues parts used to repair equipment
• Purchases consumable repair parts and building maintenance supplies from vendors
• Monitor work orders and communicate with maintenance department regarding repair parts availability
• Enter inventory data into TMT
• Call various vendors to inquire about pricing and availability
• Work closely with Parts Supervisor to supply all work order part request, maintain inventory, and communicate with customers and vendors.

Skills Required

• Strong customer service orientation
• Work effectively with peers to correct deficiencies and improve processes
• Working knowledge of heavy truck repair
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills
• Maintain a positive work safety centered atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which fosters good work ethic and culture to ensure the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Valid driver’s license
