Patient Care Tech- Duluth Float Pool (Part Time, Nights)
Overview
This position is based in the Northside Hospital Duluth Float Pool and provides the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population across Acute Care units. The Float Pool team offers self-scheduling and serves a variety of inpatient settings. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of inpatient PCT or CNA experience.

Responsibilities
The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
- One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
PREFERRED
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
