JOB SUMMARY

This position is for a Patient Care Technician whose responsibility is to provide direct nursing activities for patients receiving therapeutic and diagnostic services in the Medical Surgical Services Department, in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in activities that ensure the safe and efficient provision of services to neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient populations, refers unusual clinical problems to the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse. Duties shall be based on the PCT’s recognized skill level. The position reports to the Director of the Medical Surgical Services Department.
