At Stone Oak Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics, we believe every great patient experience starts at the front desk. We're looking for a compassionate, dependable Patient Coordinator who enjoys working with children and families and is excited to grow with our practice.
What You'll Do:
As one of the first people our patients and families interact with, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and positive experience from check-in to check-out. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients and families with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude
- Scheduling appointments and helping keep the daily schedule running smoothly
- Answering incoming calls and providing exceptional customer service
- Explaining treatment plans and discussing financial options with confidence and compassion
- Verifying insurance benefits and preparing insurance claims
- Assisting patients with payment arrangements and account questions
- Supporting communication between patients, doctors, and team members
- Helping achieve daily office goals while contributing to a positive team environment
- Assisting with community outreach and marketing initiatives as needed
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of dental front office experience
- Knowledge of dental terminology
- Basic computer skills, including dental software, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, self-motivated, and a team-first mindset
Bonus Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with dental insurance verification and claims
- Texas Medicaid experience
- Open Dental experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
