Patient Financial Counselling Associate

Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial counselling to patients by explaining estimated treatment costs, payment options, and available financial assistance schemes.
- Support patients and their families with financial-related enquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Refer patients requiring additional financial assistance to the relevant support teams where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all financial counselling activities.
- Monitor patient deposits and facilitate collection of applicable payments.
- Coordinate with insurers, employers, and relevant stakeholders to obtain required billing documents and guarantee arrangements.
- Identify complex cases and escalate them appropriately in accordance with established procedures.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth financial counselling operations and a seamless patient experience.
- Support operational activities, including training coordination, process improvements, system enhancements, user testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Undertake other duties assigned to support departmental operations.
Requirements
- Diploma qualification or below.
- Experience in customer service is preferred.
- Candidates with financial counselling or accounts-related experience are welcome to apply.
- Comfortable handling numbers, financial information, and administrative processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with different stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
