Support Safe Patient Movement & Care Coordination
At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Transport team plays a key role in ensuring patients move safely and efficiently throughout their care journey. We’re seeking a dependable and service-oriented Patient Transporter to support patient movement, equipment readiness, and a positive patient experience.
What You’ll Do
- Transport patients safely between units and to diagnostic areas (Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, GI Lab, etc.)
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility across all patient populations
- Escort patients upon discharge as needed
- Support transport of equipment and assist with deliveries as needed
- Maintain and clean transport equipment including gurneys, wheelchairs, bassinets, and cribs
- Monitor and maintain oxygen tanks and transport equipment readiness
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and departments
- Respond promptly to pages and transport requests
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Support departmental goals, productivity standards, and service excellence

- Flexibility to support different units and assignments
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- AHA BLS certification
- Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days
Preferred
- Previous patient transport or hospital experience
