Payroll Coordinator
The Payroll Coordinator supports the payroll team by performing high-volume, transactional payroll tasks to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. This role focuses on data entry, payroll processing support, and maintaining payroll records, while adhering to company policies and applicable regulations.
This is an entry-level position ideal for someone detail-oriented who thrives in a structured, deadline-driven.
What You’ll Do
Enter and maintain payroll data including new hires, terminations, pay changes, and deductions
Assist in processing weekly payroll for a multi-state workforce
Review timesheets and payroll reports for accuracy and completeness
Support processing of commissions, bonuses, and other supplemental pay
Assist with wage garnishments and other payroll deductions
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and route more complex issues as needed
Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies
Support payroll audits by gathering and organizing required documentation
Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee data
Perform other administrative and payroll-related tasks as assigned
What You’ll Bring
1–2 years of administrative, payroll, or data entry experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic understanding of payroll processes (or willingness to learn)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to manage repetitive tasks with consistency and focus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
