Indigo Park Canada Payroll Manager
Indigo Park Canada is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations across Canada. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, you will lead a team of payroll professionals and play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll services.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of bi-weekly Canadian payroll across all provinces.
- Lead,coach, and develop a team of payroll professionals, creating an environment where team members can grow, contribute, and succeed.
- Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and provincial legislation, collective agreements, and company policies.
- Administer payroll through ADP Workforce Now and Enhanced Scheduler (Time & Attendance).
- Prepare, review, and validate payroll-related reports, including internal, external, and month-end reporting.
- Manage complex payroll transactions, including retroactive payments, bonuses, taxable benefits, and other compensation elements.
- Lead payroll reconciliations and support internal and external audits, as required.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless payroll processing and exceptional employee support.
- Manage the administration of group benefits, pension plans, and related payroll deductions.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, systems, and overall efficiency.
- Stay current on payroll legislation, regulatory changes, and industry best practices across Canada.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Payroll Manager or in a senior payroll leadership role.
- Proven experience managing high-volume Canadian payroll operations.
- Experience leading and developing payroll teams.
- Strong knowledge of the complete Canadian payroll cycle.
- Thorough understanding of federal and provincial payroll legislation.
- Significant experience interpreting and administering collective agreements.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) required.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fully bilingual in French and English.
- Member in good standing of the National Payroll Institute (NPI).
- PCP or PLP designation is considered an asset.
