Description

Role Overview

As People & Culture Executive at Delano Dubai, you’ll help shape how our people experience life at the hotel — from their first welcome to the everyday moments that make them feel supported, connected and valued.

You’ll work closely with the People & Culture team and hotel leaders to keep people processes running smoothly, support our teams and bring Delano’s culture to life.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, takes pride in getting the details right and understands that a great team experience comes from both thoughtful service and reliable follow-through.

What You’ll Do

Make Every Welcome Count

  • Coordinate onboarding so new joiners feel informed, prepared and welcomed.
  • Prepare employment paperwork in line with approved terms and follow up on outstanding documents.
  • Work with departments to organise joining arrangements, induction schedules and the practical details of settling in.
  • Support recruitment through interview arrangements, candidate communication and updates in SmartRecruiters.

Be There for Our People

  • Be an approachable point of contact for questions about policies, benefits and day-to-day working life.
  • Listen with care, provide clear guidance and involve the right People & Culture colleague when further support is needed.
  • Handle personal information and sensitive conversations with discretion.
  • Help team members navigate requests and processes, keeping them informed along the way.

Keep the Details Right

  • Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files and People & Culture systems.
  • Prepare letters, certificates and documentation for approved transfers, promotions and other employment changes.
  • Track probation reviews, leave and attendance records, following up with leaders where needed.
  • Provide timely, accurate payroll inputs and coordinate visa and work permit requirements with the relevant teams.
  • Keep records organised and ready for reporting and audits.

Bring Our Culture to Life

  • Help organise recognition, wellbeing initiatives, celebrations and team events.
  • Create clear, engaging team communications that reflect Delano’s personality.
  • Support People Development with learning arrangements, participation records and team activities.
  • Listen to feedback and contribute practical ideas that improve the team experience.

Support Every Transition

  • Coordinate the paperwork and arrangements for internal moves and departures.
  • Work with Payroll, IT and department leaders to complete clearance and offboarding requirements.
  • Arrange exit interviews and ensure relevant feedback reaches the People & Culture leadership team.
  • Help each transition feel organised, respectful and well communicated.

How Success Looks

  • Onboarding: New joiners arrive with the right arrangements in place and feel welcomed and supported.
  • Team Support: Enquiries are handled with care, clear guidance and timely follow-up.
  • Record Accuracy: Employee files and systems remain complete, current and confidential.
  • Payroll & Administration: Inputs and employment documents are accurate and delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Process Follow-through: Probation reviews, approvals and outstanding paperwork are tracked through to completion.
  • Team Engagement: Activities and communications encourage participation, recognition and connection.
  • Collaboration: Departments know what is needed, who is responsible and what happens next.
  • Continuous Improvement: Team feedback leads to practical improvements in everyday People & Culture processes.

What You Bring

  • Experience in People & Culture or Human Resources, ideally within luxury or lifestyle hospitality.
  • A warm, approachable manner and the ability to build trust with people at every level.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, employee administration and day-to-day people processes.
  • Confidence using HR systems, recruitment platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • An understanding of UAE employment practices and hotel operations.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to follow through while managing competing priorities.
  • Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • A collaborative, people-first mindset and the curiosity to find better ways of doing things.
  • Most importantly, you understand that behind every document, request and process is a person who deserves care and consideration.

What awaits you...

  • The opportunity to join an international and innovative and fast-growing group, committed not only to building new hotels, but to creating a global brand.
  • The ability to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding.
  • Be part of a team that is very passionate about creating great hospitality experiences and exploring new locations with every opportunity.
  • A competitive package and plenty of development opportunities.
