Salary: $700 - $820 per day
The OpportunityOur utility client is seeking a Performance Analyst to join their D&T team, contributing to vital digital operations and service delivery across enterprise IT, operational technology, and data environments. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional professionals to identify continuous improvement opportunities, assess operational risks, and support key initiatives that underpin critical utility infrastructure.
This is an initial 3 month day rate contract with scope for multiple extensions. Office based in Brisbane, Fortitude Valley with 2-3 days per week work from home.
The Role
As a Performance Analyst you will be responsible for applying best-practice analysis to support investigations, planning, testing, and reporting functions across strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Applying change control procedures and tools to document, evaluate risks, coordinate, and implement change requests across products, services, and systems.
- Investigating systems, processes, and service problems, and contributing to the delivery of agreed remedies and preventative solutions.
- Supporting data management practices by monitoring data quality through regular reviews, conducting validation checks, and assisting with audits.
- Analysing business processes, capturing requirements, and developing process documentation and models to enhance operational efficiency and quality.
- Eliciting, defining, prioritizing, and managing requirements for small-scale changes and system enhancements through full lifecycle delivery.
- Assisting with feasibility assessments, business case development, and system designs in alignment with established architectural patterns.
About You
In order to be a successful applicant you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or possess at least 3 years of relevant experience in an analytical role.
You will also have:
- Strong foundational capabilities across business process improvement (BPRE), requirements definition (REQM), and business modelling (BSMO).
- Demonstrated understanding of change control, risk management, quality assurance, and problem management practices.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills to engage cross-functional stakeholders and translate operational needs into clear outcomes.
- The ability to obtain required security clearances and satisfy SOCI requirements.
- Willingness and availability to participate in an on-call roster (in-person and remote) outside of normal working hours to ensure service continuity.
- Relevant industry certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Foundations, or security credentials (CISSP, CISM, GSEC, GISCP, or GCIP), which will be regarded as advantageous.
