  • Encourage informed choice, self-advocacy, and active participation in daily routines and decision-making.
  • Support individuals in accessing and participating in community activities, employment, volunteer opportunities, and recreational programs.
  • Teach and model daily living skills such as meal preparation, budgeting, household management, personal care, transportation, and medication self-management, based on each individual's level of independence.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and agency policies while accurately documenting all medication administration in the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
  • Complete accurate, timely documentation, including daily service notes, progress reports, incident reports, and other required records in compliance with Regional Center and agency standards.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment that promotes dignity, privacy, and individual rights.
  • Attend required trainings, meetings, and maintain all certifications necessary to provide services.
  • Promptly communicate attendance concerns, emergencies, incidents, or significant changes in an individual's health, behavior, or support needs to supervisors in accordance with agency procedures.
  • Provide support during emergencies and crisis situations while following agency protocols and ensuring the health and safety of individuals served.
