The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. This role involves assisting with prescription processing, medication preparation, customer service, and administrative duties while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications
• Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy system
• Measure, count, label, and package medications
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and directing inquiries appropriately
• Process insurance claims and handle billing issues
• Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired medications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with medication prior authorizations and refill requests
• Follow all federal, state, and company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned.
