You will own the end-to-end architecture of perception, planning, and control systems on production hardware. You will apply diffusion-based policy learning and optimal control to manipulation tasks, define the technical roadmap, integrate sensors, compute, and actuators, resolve hardware and model-performance bottlenecks, and mentor senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical architect for perception, planning, and control systems deployed on production hardware
- Lead the application of diffusion-based policy learning and optimal control to robot manipulation and picking tasks
- Define the technical roadmap for diffusion models and optimal control
- Drive hardware integration across sensors, compute, and actuators
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in model inference, motion execution, and hardware throughput
- Mentor senior engineers
Requirements
- Track record of shipping AI-powered systems to production
- Expertise in diffusion models for robot learning
- Command of optimal control theory and practice, including MPC, trajectory optimization, and feedback control
- Experience with sensor pipelines, embedded compute, and actuator interfaces
- Proficiency in Python and C++
- Familiarity with ROS 2 or equivalent robotics middleware
- Experience with real-time systems constraints and learned-model deployment on robot hardware
- Systems-level design for maintainability, observability, and failure modes
- Ability to drive technical decisions across cross-functional teams
Benefits
- Health insurance
- Dental insurance
- Vision insurance
- Unlimited vacation
- Paid federal and state holidays
- 401(k) contributions of 5% of salary
- Company-covered travel expenses
