Physical Design Engineer

The Opportunity In this role as a Physical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for executing physical design tasks from RTL to GDSII. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful implementation of complex designs. Your Day-to-Day - Perform floorplanning and placement for advanced semiconductor designs. - Conduct clock tree synthesis (CTS) and perform detailed routing. - Execute place-and-route (PnR) operations while ensuring adherence to timing and design rules. - Carry out IR and EM analysis to evaluate design integrity. - Manage DRC (Design Rule Check) and LVS (Layout versus Schematic) processes to ensure compliance with specifications. - Implement engineering change orders (ECO) as required during the design process. - Utilize tools such as Innovus and ICC2 for physical design tasks. - Develop scripts using TCL and Perl to automate design flows and improve efficiency.
