Summary

Oversee physical security for CDC facilities by assessing risks, designing safeguards, and enforcing safety policies to protect staff and assets.

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Safety, Security, and Asset Management, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Physical Security Specialist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Serving as the technical authority for the physical security program by developing, implementing, and monitoring security policies, procedures, and protective measures. Conducting vulnerability assessments, threat analyses, and risk assessments to evaluate security posture and recommend corrective actions. Reviewing facility designs, construction plans, and security system requirements to ensure compliance with physical security standards and operational needs. Managing security-related contracts and coordinate with federal, state, and local partners to support security operations and program objectives. Preparing purchase request (PRs) Statement of works (SOW) and acquisition plans.
