Summary
A Physician Assistant provides clinical care in outpatient settings and assists in robotic surgery at South Brooklyn Health, including patient examination, diagnostic tests, inpatient rounds, progress notes, and patient counseling.
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Surgery to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. Opportunity Details:
- Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting including patient examination, recommendations for and/or interpretation of appropriate routine diagnostic tests.
- Inform the supervising physician of all changes in the patient's condition and pertinent diagnostic results.
- Surgical assist in the Operating Room with a surgical robot - Perform inpatient rounds, collect data and write pertinent progress notes on charts.
- Counsel patients regarding physical and mental health.
- Develop patient management plans in accordance with established protocols in conjunction with the attending physician.
