We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Planning & Field Engineer to join our fast-paced, dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a role that requires both office and field-based work scopes. You will work with a team to determine best methods and equipment for engineered lifts.

The salary range for this role will be ($70,000-$100,000)

  • Conduct on-site field assessments to evaluate lift conditions, access, ground-bearing requirements, and execution risks

  • Lead the development of engineered lift and transport plans using CAD-based planning tools

  • Translate field conditions into practical, executable plans aligned with operational capabilities

  • Work closely with Operations, Project Teams, and field crews to plan, refine, and execute lift strategies

  • Provide field engineering support during critical lifts, including troubleshooting and real-time adjustments

  • Communicate plans clearly to operators, supervisors, and customers to ensure safe and efficient execution

  • Perform peer reviews and provide guidance to Junior Engineers on lift planning and field considerations

  • Stamp engineered lift plans as required

  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, field feedback loops, and execution efficiency

  • Ensure adherence to Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety standards

  • Travel throughout Atlantic Canada as required

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical or Civil preferred)

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in New Brunswick

  • Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in construction, heavy lift, or field-based engineering environments

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and lift planning software

  • Demonstrated ability to connect engineering design with field execution

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable working both in the field and in a fast-paced office environment

  • Strong communication skills across technical and operational teams

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
