Planning Manager

Primary Purpose of this Job
The primary purpose of this role is to manage and transform operational and business data into actionable insights supporting Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) and Sales, Inventory, Operations Execution (SIOE) processes. The position serves as a liaison between Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Digital Technology (DT/IT) teams to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, process alignment, and operational efficiency across the enterprise.
The role focuses on driving visibility and performance through analytics, reporting automation, ERP system optimization, data governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned.)

Manage and maintain critical data structures supporting SIOP and SIOE processes including demand, inventory, production, capacity, and operational performance metrics.

Develop, automate, and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics using OBIEE, ODBC, SQL, Power BI, and other reporting tools.

Convert large datasets into meaningful business insights that improve operational efficiency, inventory management, forecast accuracy, and execution performance.

Monitor and improve data quality, consistency, and integrity across ERP and reporting systems.

Support Oracle ERP system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and implementation activities related to planning and execution functions.

Collaborate with DT/IT teams to define business requirements for system modifications, integrations, and reporting enhancements.

Serve as a liaison between Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and DT/IT teams to support alignment across SIOP and SIOE processes.

Support cross-functional planning meetings by providing data analysis, reporting, and operational insights.

Promote continuous improvement principles and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

Support enterprise data governance initiatives and operational data standardization efforts.

Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and reference materials supporting operational systems and processes.

Assist users in extracting data from systems and provide ad hoc reporting support.

Lead or participate in projects focused on improving planning accuracy, operational responsiveness, and execution efficiency.
