Job Description Summary

The Combined Cycle Product Management team is responsible for Product Strategy definition and implementation for Gas Plants Steam Turbines, Generators, HRSGs and integrated Bottoming Cycle Power Island Equipment, including development of the new unit products and managing services product offerings for all lifecycle phases of the fleet. The Combined Cycle team supports horizontally the Product Management ‘Vertical’ Teams across the varieties of Gas Turbine platforms offerings.

The Plant Systems Product manager will be integrated in the New Unit Steam Turbine & Plant Systems Product Management Team and will report to the Steam Turbine & Plant Systems Senior Product Manager. The Plant Systems Product Manager is responsible for an integrated view of the Plant Systems Product Portfolio, developing its differentiated and value proposition in cooperation with HRSG, Steam Turbine, and Generator Product managers, Plant Engineering teams, Technical Competitive Intelligence teams, Application Engineering and Region Commercial/Sales teams.

This is a critical role with significant opportunity to demonstrate creative problem-solving, technical, commercial, communication and process skills in a complex, global and fast-paced environment, working with international cross functional teams.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Productize Bottoming Cycle (BC), Balance of Plant (BOP) and Plant Product portfolio equipment and offerings.
  • Update and deliver Approval to Quote (ATQ) for Plant Systems and Plant Operability
  • Analyze HA class offerings to determine and implement options and quoting limits for the BC systems/sub systems levels.
  • Understand the competition’s product portfolio and offerings, including their value proposition, differentiation and should cost, benchmarking against GE’s offerings.
  • Understand current and future market needs, working with cross functional teams.
  • Propose and implement product improvement programs impacting cost, performance, operability, constructability, delivery cycle, and quality/reliability, to increase GE’s value proposition.
  • Drive product commercialization, deployment/training, launch and promotion in liaison with marketing, and sales/commercial teams.
  • Monitor Cost of Quality (CoQ) and drive systematic product quality issues to resolution.
  • Promote GE Plant and Bottoming Cycle solutions internally and externally.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Business or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Power Generation with a focus in Product Management, Engineering, Commercial Operation and/or Project Management

Eligibility Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time

  • Domain expertise in the following areas: Gas Plants, Steam Water Cycle, Steam Turbine, Generator and HRSGs.
  • Experience with business development and strong customer service mindset
  • Working knowledge of assigned systems and client organization and practices
  • Experience leading or managing programs of various size, duration, and scope
  • Knowledge of power plant economics and power industry market dynamics across gas, steam, nuclear, and renewable applications

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $118,600.00 and $197,600.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
