Platform Engineer AWS Kubernetes
Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements:- Previous software engineering skills, ideally in C# .Net, Python, Node.js, PowerShell or Bash
- Strong experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
- Strong Kubernetes experience
- A deep understanding of modern platform and cloud engineering
- Hands-on experience using AI development tools and a good understanding of emerging AI engineering practices
- A pragmatic, automation-focused mindset with a passion for improving developer experience
- Enjoyment of collaboration, learning new things and sharing knowledge
- Degree educated in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a top tier university
- Collaborate with a small team to build and operate the platform underpinning our trading platforms
- Develop the tools and services that enable software engineers to develop, build, test and deploy applications efficiently
- Work at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure and developer experience
- Help us embrace AI and evolve engineering tools and processes to better support both developers and AI agents throughout the software development lifecycle

You will join a collaborative and highly impactful Platform Engineering team where your work will have a direct impact on business performance. Our modern technology estate includes AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis / Valkey, HAProxy, Consul, Grafana, OpenSearch and Terraform, alongside C# .Net, Python, Node.js, Bash and PowerShell. We use Azure DevOps Pipelines and ArgoCD for CI/CD. This is a hybrid role based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, with parking available, around a 10 minute walk from the local station, and the flexibility to work from home 2-3 days a week with flexible working hours within the core 0730-1730.
