The Role
We're looking for a skilled Platform Engineer II to help design, build and operate our AWS-based platform. You'll play a key role in delivering platform capabilities that enhance Developer Experience, Service Reliability, and Business Agility, working alongside experienced platform engineers to create secure, scalable and developer-friendly solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, automating processes, and enabling development teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently and safely.

What you will do
- Design, build and maintain cloud-native platform capabilities
- Contribute to the development and evolution of our AWS-based platform, with a focus on scalability, reliability and security.
- Support production services through monitoring, incident response and operational improvements.
- Implement and enhance observability, security and automation
- Collaborate closely with developers to improve self-service capabilities
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices.
- Participate in on-call support and contribute to improving platform reliability
- Work with senior engineers to deliver platform enhancements and drive continuous improvement.
- Support cost optimisation initiatives and help ensure efficient use of cloud resources.
What you'll bring:
- Experience working within Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or a similar cloud infrastructure role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, particularly Amazon EKS.
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and modern platform engineering practices.
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Familiarity with GitOps approaches and CI/CD tooling, ideally GitLab CI/CD.
- Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
- Understanding of cloud security principles,
- Proficiency in at least one programming language - Python, Go, Java or C#.
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for automation, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality solutions.
