Platform Engineer Role Details

Newesis srl in Turin, Italy is seeking a Platform Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to design and implement automated platform services. You will work on IaC with Terraform, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows, partnering with development and operations teams to improve deployment reliability across cloud environments.

The role requires proficiency in NodeJS/NetCore, Git, and CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), plus fluency in English

Automation Focus: Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts, tools and platforms to streamline software development, testing, and deployment processes. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage IaC modules and templates, using Terraform across various cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP). Container Orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and scalability, designing Helm Chart deployment models with the development team. GitOps Implementation: Utilize Flux or ArgoCD for declarative Git-centric CD to Kubernetes clusters, using Kustomize and Helm. CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps. Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to implement DevOps best practices. Monitoring & Logging: Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for observability of apps and infrastructure. Troubleshooting: Participate in issue resolution across application, infrastructure and deployment. Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for processes and tools. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Software or Platform Development. Solid understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies. Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning. Experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration. Familiarity with ArgoCD or other GitOps tools. Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. NodeJS, NetCore). Experience with version control systems, especially Git. Proficiency in English and Italian (written and spoken) is essential.
