Platform lead
We are seeking a Platform Infrastructure Lead to lead the operations of enterprise container platforms and shared infrastructure services. You will manage a team responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of Kubernetes platforms, middleware, and enterprise COTS applications supporting mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 4–6 infrastructure engineers supporting container platforms and platform services.
- Manage platform operations, incident response, problem management, change implementation, andd lifecycle activities.
- Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, and enterprise COTS products including MongoDB, MSSQL, NGINX, Apache, IBM MQ, MQTT, Kafka.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and integration teams to resolve platform issues and support new services.
- Ensure platform monitoring, logging, documentation, and operational runbooks are maintained.
- Drive platform upgrades, patching, OS hardening, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Lead Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BCP), and operational readiness activities.
- Promote automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the platform environment.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or middleware operations, including team leadership.
- Strong hands on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, Linux administration, and OS hardening.
- Experience managing enterprise COTS platforms including MongoDB, MSSQL, NGINX, Apache, IM MQ, and messaging technologies.
- Good understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancers, monitoring, and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, eG Enterprise).
- Experience with CI/CD, automation (Ansible, scripting), and modern platform operations.
- Strong leadership, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
