Duties and Responsibilities
-Patrol and inspect assigned community/shopping center/office buildings etc; addressing maintenance & lightening, abandoned vehicles and laundry room concerns; and enforce all criminal laws to include felony, misdemeanor and vehicular violations
-Keep watch for suspicious activities, persons, abandoned vehicles, general property security hazards, trespassing & loitering, CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substance) violations and respond to all calls for service in the community in a timely manner
-Detain suspicious persons -- issue trespassing notices and photograph the individuals involved. (Film for photographs will be provided by management)
-Report security hazards and emergency situations to management in a timely manner
-Property manager is to be contacted immediately in the event of an emergency situation on the community/property regardless of when it occurs. On-call maintenance is to be made aware of lighting and other on-site concerns requiring immediate attention
-Lock laundry rooms (clothes care centers) as scheduled
-Appear in court as necessary
-Responsible for verifying residents and/or guests, if a concern arises
-Complete daily patrol logs and incident report forms, attaching photos of violator(s) and trespasser notice(s). Then submit to management at the end of each shift
-Contribute to the team's effort by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
-Comply with all Southern Management's policies and procedures
-Perform various other duties as assigned
