About the Role
Checkoff Finance is looking for a highly analytical and results-driven Portfolio Performance & Receivables Manager to oversee the performance, profitability, and quality of its lending portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for portfolio monitoring, receivables management, and implementing effective early-stage collections strategies to optimize portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor the health and performance of the lending portfolio across all products.
* Track key portfolio metrics, including PAR, DPD, delinquency, roll rates, cure rates, and collection efficiency.
* Identify portfolio risks and recommend strategies to improve portfolio quality and profitability.
* Monitor customer repayment behaviour, receivables, and collection performance.
* Forecast cash collections and implement proactive early-stage delinquency strategies.
* Develop initiatives to improve repayment performance, reduce credit losses, and increase cure rates.
* Prepare portfolio performance dashboards and management reports with actionable insights.
* Monitor Expected Credit Loss (ECL) and Cost of Risk (CoR) in collaboration with Finance and Credit Risk teams.
* Drive customer engagement initiatives to improve repayment behaviour and customer retention.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize portfolio performance, collections, and lending processes.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, FRM, or related qualifications are an added advantage.
* 5β8 years of experience in Portfolio Management, Credit Risk, Collections, Receivables Management, Consumer Lending, or Financial Services.
* Proven experience managing loan portfolios, receivables, and repayment performance.
* Strong understanding of retail lending, portfolio analytics, delinquency management, collections strategy, and portfolio optimization.
* Knowledge of IFRS 9, Expected Credit Loss (ECL), and Cost of Risk (CoR) is an added advantage.
* Proficiency in Advanced Excel and analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
