Roles & Responsibilities:

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will conduct research with projects that seek to understand the relation of stress exposure to neural, behavioral, and health-related outcomes in adults. These research projects are carried out in collaboration with faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

The fellow will assist with analyses of newly collected and existing data in order to develop their independent line of research.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with participant recruitment, screening, and testing
• Assist with MRI data acquisition, management, and quality control
• Analyze neuroimaging data (fMRI, resting BOLD, volumetric)
• Assist with ensuring best practices for obtaining quality data for in-scanner and out-of-scanner protocols
• Assist with management of Research Coordinators and/or students working on lab-related research
• Co-author/author manuscripts
• Assist with grant proposals, progress reports, and other related duties
• Present research findings at national conferences and local seminars/meetings

The individual in this position will contribute to the Neuropsychology & Neuroimaging Lab’s aims of elucidating neural mechanisms underlying behavioral, cognitive, psychiatric, and health-related effects associated with stress exposure. Requirements:

PhD or MD
PhD/MD with research focused on clinical, behavioral, or affective neuroscience; behavioral economics; computational neuroscience; and/or a related discipline. Hands-on experience with functional/structural neuroimaging data analysis. A record of individual initiative in research, strong analytic skills, strong communication skills, and an ability to work effectively in a esearch environment.
