Power BI Developer (Junior)

We are hiring a Power BI Developer (Junior) on behalf of our client. This role involves building interactive dashboards and reports that turn raw data into clear insights for business teams. Role & responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Connect to data sources such as Excel, SQL databases, and cloud services
• Clean and transform data using Power Query
• Create data models, relationships, and DAX measures and calculated columns
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and prepare data
• Publish reports to Power BI Service and manage workspaces, refresh schedules, and access
• Work with business teams to understand reporting needs and KPIs
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and report performance
• Fix bugs and update existing dashboards based on user feedback
• Document reports, data sources, and metric definitions
• Learn and follow BI best practices under the guidance of senior developers

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Engineering, Commerce, or related field
• 0 to 2 years of experience in Power BI, data analytics, or reporting (internships and projects count)
• Hands-on knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Basic to good understanding of DAX and Power Query
• Working knowledge of SQL (joins, aggregations, subqueries)
• Good knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
• Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, relationships)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills, able to explain insights to non-technical users
• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn
