Power BI Report Tester

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Tester with strong expertise in Power BI report testing, semantic model validation, DAX testing, and data validation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SQL, ETL testing, Agile methodologies, and Azure cloud technologies. Experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional and data validation testing of Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Validate Power BI semantic models, relationships, measures, and DAX calculations.
• Perform backend data validation using SQL queries.
• Identify, track, and report defects using Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Perform ETL testing, data reconciliation, and data quality validation.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders in Agile environments.
• Validate data pipelines and reports across cloud-based data platforms.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI Testing.
• Strong experience in Power BI reports and dashboard validation.
• Knowledge of semantic models and DAX validation.
• Experience in Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and defect tracking.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain.
• Understanding of insurance data structures and business processes.
• 2+ years of experience in Data Product Testing.
• Experience in ETL Testing and Data Validation.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Cloud Data Platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure tools.
