Powersports Service Technician
The Power Sports Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of powersports vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and UTVs. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering top-notch service to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with power sports equipment, a passion for the industry, and a dedication to providing outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Diagnostics & Repair:
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on powersports vehicles, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Complete routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tune-ups, brake adjustments, and engine servicing.
Technical Proficiency:
- Stay updated on the latest technology and repair techniques for powersports vehicles.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively to identify and resolve issues.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and service bulletins for accurate repairs and maintenance.
Customer Service:
- Communicate clearly with customers to explain vehicle issues, repair options, and service recommendations.
- Provide honest and professional estimates for repairs, ensuring transparency with clients.
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds customer expectations for quality and reliability.
Shop Efficiency:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
- Manage tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Document all repairs and services performed, ensuring accuracy for customer records and internal tracking.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and environmental guidelines during repairs and maintenance.
- Stay compliant with manufacturer standards and dealership policies.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a service technician in powersports, automotive, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of powersports vehicles, their components, and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- ASE certification or equivalent training in powersports repair is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement is preferred.
