Account Executive / Senior Account Executive, B2B & Retail Trade PR

Location: London (Chancery Lane)
Working Pattern: Full time, hybrid working (2 days in, 3 days flex.)

About Cirkle

We’re a multi-award-winning consumer and B2B communications agency representing some of Britain’s best-loved brands and businesses.

Quite simply, it’s our people that drive our agency, and creating a culture which genuinely puts them at the heart of our operation and vision is what makes them feel counted. We are a B Corp and Blueprinted agency, and we take our commitment to using our business as a force for good seriously.

We don’t tick boxes. We build and evolve initiatives, programmes and partnerships which create meaning, both for the people in our business and the communities and stakeholders we serve. We’re also proud to have been recognised by Campaign and PRWeek as one of the industry’s best places to work.

The role

We’re looking for an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive to join our brilliant Trade and B2B team, working with some of the nation’s biggest household-name brands.

Our Trade and B2B work is all about helping brands connect meaningfully with the customers and audiences that matter to them. That could mean reaching grocery retailers, hospitality businesses or other specialist audiences through everything from media relations and content creation to brand launches, experiential events, trade shows and wider integrated campaigns.

It means there’s plenty of variety. You’ll get involved across all areas of client work, helping to turn brand and category strategies into creative communications that build reputation, engage customers and ultimately make an impact.

You’ll be joining a friendly, collaborative team where you’ll be encouraged to contribute ideas from day one, while developing your skills and building strong relationships with clients, media and other key audiences.

Depending on your experience, you might be building on your first steps in PR or already be operating confidently at Senior Account Executive level. Either way, there’s plenty of opportunity to develop, take on more responsibility and make the role your own.

At SAE level, you’ll naturally take greater ownership of projects, client relationships and media activity, as well as having opportunities to support more junior members of the team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of client accounts, keeping plans, actions and activity organised and up to date
  • Attending and contributing to client meetings, PR planning sessions and quarterly reviews
  • Helping bring integrated Trade and B2B campaigns to life across media relations, content, events and other creative activations
  • Drafting engaging press releases, features, advertorials and other content, managing approvals and distribution
  • Proactively pitching stories and ideas to journalists and building strong relationships across relevant trade and B2B media
  • Spotting creative opportunities to help clients connect with their customers and key industry audiences
  • Contributing ideas and recommendations to brand launches, category campaigns and wider client activity
  • Monitoring client and competitor coverage and helping turn campaign results into clear, meaningful reporting
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of events and media initiatives, including briefings, trade shows, publishing house tours, branded content, giveaways and mail-outs
  • Coordinating event logistics, from sourcing venues and managing invitations to arranging photography, samples and press materials
  • Keeping up to date with relevant media, journalists, industry trends and client sectors to identify new opportunities

About you

We’re open to different levels of experience, so you could be looking to build on your first experience in PR or already have some under your belt and be ready for your next move.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous experience in PR and communications, whether through internships, an Account Assistant, Account Executive or similar role
  • An interest in Trade and B2B communications, with FMCG experience a real bonus
  • A genuine interest in media and enthusiasm for building relationships with journalists
  • Great organisation and time management, with the ability to juggle multiple and changing priorities
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to contribute ideas and suggestions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of your own work
  • A creative, curious and solutions-focused mindset

You don’t need to tick every box. If you have a good foundation in PR, plenty of enthusiasm and an interest in developing your Trade and B2B experience, we’d still love to hear from you.

What we offer

  • Bonus scheme
  • Monthly employee recognition awards
  • Comprehensive wellbeing programme, including health insurance and up to eight free counselling sessions per year
  • Fully funded Railcards
  • Regular funded socials
  • 27 days’ paid holiday, plus your birthday off and our annual Joy Day
  • Internal and external mentoring and buddy schemes
  • Electric car salary sacrifice scheme
  • Social purpose-led paid time off for volunteering, voting and giving blood, plus an annual Allyship Day

At Cirkle, we embrace diversity and inclusion and believe it enriches our performance, services and culture. As our industry and team continue to evolve to reflect the growing diversity of our communities, our efforts to understand, value and incorporate differences become increasingly important.
