Pre-Sale Engineer - Junior (Locals Only)

Job Overview:
The Sales Engineer role is responsible for supporting and driving the technical and solution-oriented aspects of the sales cycle, helping customers understand Cognyte’s portfolio value and how its solutions address their business needs. The role combines discovery, solution design, product expertise, customer-facing communication, proposals, demo and workshop delivery, deal strategy support, and cross-functional coordination with Sales, Product, Delivery, and other internal stakeholders
As a Cognyter, you will:
- Prepare and customize technical proposals and solution documents aligned with customer requirements.
- Lead customer-facing engagements, including product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions.
- Design and deliver tailored demos, presentations, and solution showcases for prospective clients.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and emerging business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of proposals, technical documentation, and sales enablement materials.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and other cross-functional teams to develop solutions that address customer challenges and business objectives.
- Build strong knowledge of Cognyte’s products and services to effectively support pre-sales activities and customer engagements.
Requirements
For that mission, you’ll need:
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum of 1–2 years within the Presale, Telecom Solution or Sales Engineer.
- Basic knowledge in telecom network architecture for Telephony, Cellular and IP networks (e.g. PSTN, GSM, UMTS, LTE, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, SS7, Wifi, IOT)
- Strong interest in sales engineering, business development, and customer-facing roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of business processes, technology solutions, and customer needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
